Jasper Braddy was one of 10 children of Jessie and Louvica Lucy Parker Braddy. He fought in Civil War in Company K, 45th Illinois Infantry along side his twin brother William "Newton" Braddy. Jasper had 16 children. 9 with his 1st wife Hulda Ann Redburn Braddy and 7 with his 2nd wife Annis Madora Bennett Braddy. He was 64 years old. He is buried in Mt Zion Cemetery in Farrington Twp., in Jefferson County, Illinois.

On his Pension card he is listed as Invalid on 13 Nov 1879 and his wife as Annis M Braddy and daughter as Jessie T Braddy. FIleing for his widow Annis was on 19 Jul 1905, and 21 Jul 1914 for daughter Jessie.
