Evaline Lydia "Eva" (Churchill) Cairy was born March 2, 1865 at Jesup, lowa, a daughter of Samuel Churchill and Elizabeth Churchill. She was married to Frank W. Cairy on October 16, 1886 at Estherville, Iowa and they came to Algona, Iowa (Kossuth County) in 1888. This union was blessed with six children. Two of those children preceded Eva in death. After Frank passed into eternity during 1919, Evaline was united in marriage to a second husband, C. E. Dayton of Brighton, Iowa, who survived at the time of her death.
