Maude Mills Lowe was born April 8, 1916 in Vaca (Sevier), Sevier County, Utah. She was the last survivor of 13 children born to William Thomas and Susannah Noaks Mills. She died on March 29, 1998 at the Woodland Care Center, of natural causes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Dewey Lowe ; an infant son, Elmo , and three granddaughters.
She is survived by 10 children: Bud E. (Sherry), Brigham City; G. Dewey Jr. (Connie), Delores (Ron) Baker, William (Nannett), Glenna (Leonard) Davis, Roscena and Joseph M. Lowe , greater Salt Lake City area; Elma Strong, Tremonton; Margaret (Larry) Harvey, Las Vegas, NV; and Susan (Rick) Williams, Sparks, NV; 37 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, living in the Grant 7th Ward. She served in the Relief Society, homemaking, where she assisted women of all ages in quilting. She lovingly cared for the Primary nursery for 20 years.
Funeral services will be Fri., April 3, 1998, at 12 noon, at the Grant 7th Ward, 3487 So., 1300 East, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call Thurs., April 2, 1998 from 7-9 p.m. at Colonial Memorial Mortuary, 2128 So. State Street, Salt Lake City, and one hour prior to services on Friday. Interment will be in the Elysian Burial Gardens. Funeral Directors: Colonial Memorial Mortuary.
