Services for Michael Luerra Carter, 25, of Juneau, Alaska, formerly of Nampa, who died Tuesday, Jan. 7, a t Juneau, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Bishop Edward Hess, of the Nampa First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, will officiate. Interment will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa.
Mr. Carter was born Jan. 10, 1960, at Nampa. He was reared in Nampa and attended the Lakeview and Parkview Elementary schools, West Junior High and Nampa High School. He married Teresa Halliday on Oct. 6, 1978. They made their home in Nampa until October 1984, when they moved to Juneau, where he worked in construction and as a bonded courier. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife of Juneau; a daughter, Janessa Carter of Juneau; his mother, Dorie E. Carter of Nampa; two brothers, Terry Carter of Pearland, Texas, and Tim Carter of Caldwell; three uncles, six aunts and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a great-grandmother, a grandmother and an uncle.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. on Monday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
