MRS.POTEET DIED AT BURKBURNETT

BURKBURNETT, Texas,
April 23,1938,
Mrs.S.H.Poteet,89,mother of
Mrs.W.A.Scarborough,Wichita Falls,
died here this afternoon about
1 o'clock at the home of her son,
B. W. Poteet, on Glendale Street.
She had been in failing health for
several years.

The body will be taken overland
to Paris,Texas,for funeral services
Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock
from the Minton-Frye Funeral
Home with Burial in Antioch Cemetery.
Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of
this city is in charge.

Mrs. Poteet was a Native Texan and
a member of the Church of Christ.
For the last several years she had
alternated her residence with
her children.

Survivors besides the two children
already mentioned include four daughters,
Mrs. W. O. Stallings of Clovis, NM,
Mrs. Rex Lindsey of Durant, OK,
Mrs. F. W. Roberts of Chico, and
Mrs. Minnie Sue Stovall
of Fort Worth; and a second son,
C. H. Poteet of Snider, OK.
