Ida De Yager, 85, of Sioux Center died Thursday, July 18, 1990 in the Fellowship Village Nursing Home in Inwood.

Ida Gerritsen was born Nov. 20, 1904, in Sioux Center. She married Sam De Yager on Dec. 21, 1923, in Sioux Center.

They farmed in Sioux County, Iowa, and Lincoln County, S.D., until their retirement. She was a longtime member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Her husband died Nov. 25, 1984.

She is survived by four sons, Gerrit of Artesia, Calif.; Albert and Junior, both of Inwood; and Bill of Steen, Minn.; one daughter, Tracy Byker of Hawarden; 22 grandchildren; 37 greatgrandchildren; and five sisters, Hattie Vander Kamp of Sioux Center; Ann Roelofs of Chino, Calif.; Harriet Driesen of Hull; Nell Driesen of Rock Valley; and Winnie Wielenga of Orange City.

Her funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23 at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
