Son of George Washington Truett and Nancy (Mortimer) Parker Truett.
Died at the age of 6.

George and Nancy, her three children from her first marriage, and her three Truett children are all found in Washington, Illinois, Tazewell County, at the time of the 1860 census. Following are the children of George Truett and Nancy Jane (Mortimer/Mortimore) Parker Truett;
1. David Francis Truett, was born according to the family Bible on January 5, 1855 in Fountain County, Indiana; died on October 19, 1860 at the age of 6; buried in the Old City Cemetery.

2. Hester Marian Truitt; born April 5, 1857 in Attica, Logan Township, Fountain County, Indiana; married William James Gridley on October 26, 1873 in Tazewell County; died March 3, 1929 at Streator, Illinois; buried in the Olio Township Cemetery, Eureka, Illinois.

3. Sarah Catherine Truett; born February 17, 1858 in Indiana; married Benjamin R. Lyon on March 12, 1873; Sarah died on January 10, 1940 in Streator, Illinois; buried in Riverview Cemetery, Streator, Illinois.

4. Samuel Thomas Truett; born on July 30, 1860, according to the family Bible; He was probably born in Washington Township, Tazewell County, Illinois; died September 30, 1859; buried in the Old City Cemetery, Washington, Illinois.

5. John Wesley Truett; born January 30, 1861 according to the family Bible. He was possibly born in Peoria, Illinois, but more likely in Washington, Illinois; John was married to Mary Colista Corwin in 1879 in Metamora, Woodford County, Illinois and is known to have eventually moved west to Sheridan, Wyoming; died on August 27, 1935 in Sheridan Wyoming. John was a Switchman on the railroad for many years; John and Mary had 11 children according to the 1910 census; buried in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Believed to have been buried in the Old Washington City Cemetery, but, grave is not longer marked as of 2012.
