Mrs. Lucy McArthur Passed Away in Flint - Cass City Chronicle 05-19-1944

Mrs. Lucy McArthur, a former resident of the Kingston vicinity died Wednesday in the home in Flint of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Harmon, with whom she had been living.

The remains were in the Karr Funeral home in Kingston until the funeral services which were held in the Wilmot Free Methodist church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, conducted by Rev. Frank Orchard of Lum. Burial was in Novesta cemetery beside her husband who passed away on Dec. 11, 1940.

Lucy Bayley was born in Thamesville, Ont., Apr. 20, 1862. She was united in marriage with Alexander McArthur on July 4, 1881. To this union were born one son, Walter McArthur, of Rochester, and one daughter, Mrs. Harmon both of whom survive. She also leaves five grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Levagood of Cass City, Mrs. Eliza Schwaderer of Royal Oak; and Mrs. Wm. Justin of Port Huron; one brother, Richard Bayley of Cass City.

She was a member of the Wilmot Free Methodist church for many years until two years ago when she had her name transferred to the Auburn Heights church. She was a faithful Christian, a loving mother and friend, who will be greatly missed.
