Dale D. FLOOR, 96, Goshen, formerly of Akron, died 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carriage Manor Nursing Home, Goshen. Mr. Floor had been handicapped a deaf mute. Arrangements are pending at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Akron.

Dale D. Floor, Feb. 17, 1902 -May 26, 1998, Dale D. FLOOR, 96, Goshen, formerly of Akron, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carriage Manor Nursing Home, Goshen. Born near Disko to Ezra and Maggie FLOOR, he married Maggie HAHN in 1929. She preceded in death on June 3, 1972. Mr. Floor retired in 1962 from General Tire and Rubber Company, Wabash. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Elkhart. He had been deaf since age 6 and attended the Indiana School for the Deaf, Indianapolis, where he met his wife. Survivors include two sons, Fred and wife Isabelle FLOOR, Elkhart, and Johnnie FLOOR, Lake Worth, Fla.; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, two sisters, Beulah MAYBEE, Kokomo, and Mae McKIBBEN, Warsaw, one brother, Leo FLOOR, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Dale [FLOOR] Jr. and Edward, [FLOOR] and several brothers and sisters. Floor was one of 11 children. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Akron. Rev. Carlos TREADWAY will officiate. Burial is in Silver Creek Cemetery, Silver Lake. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Friday or one hour prior to service on Saturday.
