OBITUARY

Thursday, April 28, 1977

Orvan FLOOR, 81, Akron, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Kosciusko community hospital following an illness of ten years.

Mr. Floor was born Jan. 12, 1896, at Disko to Ezra and Maggie FLICKINGER FLOOR and had lived in the Akron area all his life. He married Vera MARTIN in 1916 at Akron; she died in 1959. He was retired from True Temper and from Sonoco Paper Products and was a member of the Bible Way Apostolic church, Nappanee.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Phyllis) MUNSON, Warsaw; Mrs. Horace (Norma) BARR, Akron; Mrs. Donald (Cleo) HALL, Atwood; Mrs. Roger (Gladys) GAFF, Nappanee, and Mrs. Alonzo (Martha) HOWARD, South Bend; two sons, Junior and James [FLOOR], both of South Bend; five sisters, Mrs. Ina SIPPY, Meadville, Pa.; Mrs. Ora FRANTZ and Mrs. Edna BRANDENBURG, both of Silver Lake; Mrs. Beulah MABIE, Kokomo, and Mrs. Mae McKIBBIN, Warsaw; three brothers, Ralph and Dale [FLOOR], both of Silver Lake, and Leo [FLOOR], Phoenix, Ariz.; twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Three daughters and a son preceded in death.

Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Akron Church of God with the Rev. Jimmy WYANT and the Rev. J.D. THOMASON officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, on Friday after 4 p.m. and on Saturday until noon.
