Survived by his wife; one daughter - Mrs. John E. McCaleb; one son - Chiltn Ayres, Jr.; one brother - James Ayres; four sisters - Mrs. Gertrude Ayres, Mrs. Luther Webb, Mrs. Roy Ridgeway; four grandchildren.
