Herman Frank Sr.
On Thursday, April 22, Herman Frank Sr. died at his home near Bellville at 1:45 p.m. at the age of 69 years and 14 days. Deceased was born in Bellville on April 8, 1857. He is survived by his widow; 8 sons, A.C., Julius, Herman, Alfred, Edgar, Ferdinand, Hugo and Carl Frank; 4, Mesdames Eva Wietstruck, Wilhelmine Andreas, Anna Berndt and Edith Adler; 5 brothers, Fritz, Wilhelm, Henry, Max and Richard; 3 sisters, Mrs. Mary Seidel, Mrs. Reinhold Weise and Mrs. Rudolf Brockmann; 24 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, relatives and many friends. Interment was made in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville, on Friday, April 23rd at 3 p.m., Rev. Zeidler officiating in the home and at the grave. Mr. Frank was a member of the O.D.H.S., No 11, whose members attended the funeral in body. Among the beautiful floral offering by his many friends was also a very beautiful wreath sent by the Special Police Department of Galveston.
