Mrs. Alice TUBB, pioneer resident of Canadian, died this morning at 8:30 o'clock at a local hospital following a long illness.
A native of England, she had been a resident of the Panhandle for many years. She was a resident of Canadian at the time Hemphill County was organized.
She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. H. C. DOLCATER, 1906 Lincoln Street for four years.
Besides the daughter in Amarillo, she is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Ruth PUNDT of Canadian, Mrs. Sue PHRA of Passaic, Wyoming and Mrs. Juanita WALTON of Ranger; and three sons, Charles and George of Canadian and Earl TUBB of White Deer. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Kate RUSK of Woodward, Oklahoma.
The body is in state at the Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Chapel pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
