Services for Odell Hopkins, 75, of Bertram will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, oct. 27, 2010 at Edgar Funeral Home. Charles Hopkins will officiate with interment to follow at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet. He was born on March 21, 1935 in Jollyville, Texas to Elmer and Jessie Williams Hopkins and died on Oct. 24, 2010 in Bertram.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Hopkins, of 22 years and his sons, Allen Hopkins and his wife Gaylene, of Marble Falls, Ricky Hopkins and his wife Sandra, of Bertram, and Joe Lewis of Marble Falls, and his daughters, Connie Lott, and her husband, Ronnie, of Victoria, Lisa Bell and her husband Danny, of Bertram, Cricket Lyons and her husband, Tim, of Burnet, Lilly Gattani and her husband, Eric, of Pennsylvania, Peggy Henderson and her husband, Bill, of Granite Shoals, Lil Floyd and her husand, Charlie, of Burnet and Paula Layton of Horseshoe Bay. he is also survived by three sisters, Mozell Alcorn of Burnet, Ima Hibler of Bertram and Mildred Guess of Burnet and 26 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Raynell Hopkins, brothers, C.J. and Tommy Hopkins, sister, Bert Tatum, daughter-in-law, Vonda Lewis, brother-in-laws, James Alcorn and Elvie Barrow, James Hibler and J. Guess.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Butch Hopkins, Christopher Hopkins, Buster Hopkins, Leslie Ray, Trapper Lewis and Derek McPherson. Arrangements by Edgar Funeral Home, Burnet.
