Surviving are: daughters: Shelvia Blackmon of Seneca, SC, Donna Krug of Alpharetta, and Teresa McCarty of Monroe; sisters: Peggy Byrd of Monroe, Carolyn Lunsford of Madison, Phyllis Hardigree of Watkinsville, and Nell McNelly of Monroe; brothers: Ray Thornton of Monroe and Floyd Greene of Winder; and six grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Monday Aug. 18th at 11a.m. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. W.C. Tribble officiating. Interment followed at Westlawn Cemetery.

Meadows FUNERAL Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
