Surviving are: daughters and sons-in-law; Brenda and Parker Malcom of Monroe, Ann and Norman Connor of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law; Jimmy and Janice Harris of Fortson; sisters Dot Harper of Monroe, Peggy Byrd of Monroe, Carolyn Lunsford of Madison, Phyllis Hardigree of Watkinsville, and Nell McNeely of Austell, brothers; Floyd Greene of Winder, Sam Thornton of Monroe, and Ray Thornton of Monroe; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 1 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Brett and the Rev. W. C. Tribble officiating. Interment followed at Westlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jay Harris, Jon Haris, Jody Harris, Andrew Tarpley, Alan Tarpley, Shane Saxton, Gary Langford, and Greg Langford.

Meadows Funeral Home, Inc was in charge of arrangements.
