Anthony Paul Nixdorf, son of A.P. and Minnie Nixdorf, was born in Miller County, Mo., on March 12, 1874, and passed away at his home in Ulman, Mo., August 29, 1950, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 17 days.

Over 32 years ago he united with the Ulman Christian Church and remained loyal to this faith all of his life. On August 18, 1901, he was united in marriage to Ida Cooper, and to this union one son was born.

He served as sheriff of Miller County for two terms, being elected the first time at the age of 27 years.

Mr. Nixdorf is survived by his wife, who has been a faithful companion, 1 son, Herbert, 1 grandson, 1 brother, Carol Nixdorf, and one sister, Addie Livingston, also many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. August 31, 1950 at the Ulman Christian Church, Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Interment was made in the Gott Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under direction of Hedges Funeral Home of Iberia.
