Born in Blaine, Washington. Son of William Frederick Kermen and Mary Ann (Gruber) Kermen. Had four brothers; Henry, Raymond, William and Clarence. Grew up in Cle Elum, Washington and graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1930. Worked for the M.C. Miller Lumber Company until it closed in the early 1960's. Then worked for the company owner through the 1980's.
"Fritz" was a well-known local photographer in the area for over 50 years. He was a 60 year member of Cle Elum 649 Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He married Edna (Kauzlarich)Allsman on September 14, 1957 and she preceded him in death.
