Deceased was born in Jefferson county, New York, and came to Steuben county with his parents, Adam and Experience Sowle, in 1850, and has since resided in this county, much of the time in York township, where he was married August 20, 1866, to Sarah E. Hathaway. To the union were born two sons and two daughters, three of whom with the wife, brother and two sisters survive him. Mr. Sowle was a kind-hearted man and highly respected by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 8th, at the M. E. church in Angola, Rev. F. M. Kemper officiating, assisted by Elder C. S. Medbury.
