Son of Ovide Charette and Marie Nolin. Native of Sainte Sophie d'Halifax, Mégantic, Québec, Canada. Baptized 24 Jul 1854 Saint Norbert, Arthabaska, Québec. Married Vitaline Martin 12 Jan 1875 Saint Patrice in Tingwick, Arthabaska, Québec. Lived for years in York County, Maine, both Kennebunk and Sanford. Died in Drummondville at the age of 62. Interred 20 Dec 1916 in the parish cemetery of Saint Paul de Chester. His widow remarried in 1921.
