Joseph Édouard Charette, son of Napoléon Charette and Vitaline Martin, was born and baptized on 18 Aug 1888 at Saint Patrice in Tingwick, Arthabaska, Québec, Canada. He was a twin to his sister Théodora. Édouard married Marie Bernadette Bernier, daughter of Hilaire Bernier and Josephine Coté, on 18 Oct 1909 in Springvale, York, Maine. The couple raised their family in Maine. Édouard died in 1946 at the age of 57 and was interred in Saint Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford. His widow moved to California (four of their children resided in California) after his death and died there in 1969.
