Alyce V. York, age 90 of Hammond, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2004.
She is survived by one son, Bob (Geri) Snyder of Dyer; one daughter, Rose Louise Heard of Hammond; four grandchildren: Tom Snyder of Indiana, Beth Alayne (Rick) Eberly of Crown Point, Darren (Kelley) Snyder of Crown Point and Eric (Carrie) Snyder of Hebron; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda (Raymond) Blade of Calumet City, IL and Frances Ott of Cedar Lake, IN.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Vivian.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, 10 a.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ron Cooper, Minister, officiating. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland.
Mrs. York was a member of the Church of God of Munster. She retired from Carson Pirie Scott and Company after 25 years; retired member of Musicians Union 203 of Hammond; and a member of The Golden Times Volunteers. Memorials may be given to your favorite charity.
