She was born May 28, 1926, at Wilmore to Charles and Beryl (Linder) Dillinger. The family moved to the rural St. Paul area around 1940 and she graduated from St. Paul High School.
On May 28, 1944, her 18th birthday, she married Harry Baker at Erie. Together they farmed throughout their married life. She was active in the F.F.F. Home Demonstration Unit, the Galesburg United Methodist Church and was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society for more than 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Baker of the home; a son, Ralph E. Baker and his wife, Eldeen, of Topeka; two daughters, Delma J. Pillot and her husband, Robert, of Alvord, Texas, and Doris R. Merrill and her husband, Jay, of Manhattan; four grandchildren, Sherry Swiney and her husband, John, Craig Pillot, all of Alvord, Texas, Angie Baker of Kansas City, Mo., and Kristen Baker of Denver; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Allison, Jared and Ryan Swiney, all of Alvord, Texas; and two brothers, Wayne Dillinger of Scammon and Carl Dillinger of Enid, Okla.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, Loren and Glenn Dillinger; and a sister, Eva Baker.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in the South Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Galesburg United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
