Services were held at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Ryan Saturday morning last. A. Louis Lyness, 65, well know Masonville farmer. Burial was at the Calvary cemetery, Ryan.
Mr. Lyness died Wednesday, Feb 22, following a sudden illness.
A Louis Lyness was born Jan 27, 1913 at Ryan to Arthur Lyness and Catherine Devine. He received his education in the rural schools of Ryan and later graduated from St. Patrick's high school, Ryan. He was married to Rozina Keegan in May 1945 at Ryan. They moved to the Lyness home farm where they had since resided. He was a member of St. Patrick's parish, Ryan.
Survivors include his wife, on son, Louie F. Lyness of Manchester, one grandson, one sister, Sister Mary Robert, Sisters of Mercy, Cedar Rapids and two brothers, Patrick H.
of Denver, Col. and Robert of Ryan. His parents, one sister and one brother preceded him in death. Shelley funeral home, Manchester was in charge of arrangements.
