Mrs. Minnie Young

DOWNS — (PNS) — Mrs. Minnie E. Young, 73, died at 3:10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Bloomington, after an illness of a week.

She was taken to Stensel's Funeral Home, Le Roy, and will be brought to her residence Monday night. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p. m. Wednesday at Downs Methodist Church with the Rev. David Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

Mrs. Young was born Aug. 30, 1878 at Farmer City. She was the daughter of Emanuel and Francis Miller Marcellus. On Aug. 15, 1900, she was married to Harry L. Young in Bloomington. He died Dec. 9, 1944.

Of her four children, three sons survive. They are Lyle and Joe of Downs and Frank of Ipava. There are three grandchildren.
