Obituary:
Mrs. Sarah Crippen
The grim reaper came to Valois on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1943 and
removed Sarah Crippen, aged 77 years, from the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Lottie M. Carr.
Mrs. Crippen was the eldest of six children born to Sanford and
Charlotte Clawson Bramble. Most of her life was spent in that community. She was of a cheerful, modest disposition. While she was a home lover and usually was found at home, she was glad to welcome her friends at any time. In her latter years, she spent much time in studying her Bible.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Lottie M. Carr of Valois and Mrs.
Clinton Shannon of Union Springs. Her son, William, passed away
seven years ago. One sister, Mrs. Minnie Tunison of Valois; two
brothers, Eugene Bramble, Sayre, Pa., and Dr. Halsey S. Bramble of
Elmer, NJ; five grandchildren, one nephew and three cousins.
Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at
1 p. m., conducted by Elder O. V. Garner of Union Springs.
Interment at Valois. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.
