A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23rd at the Neodesha United Methodist Church with Pastor Frank Morgan, officiating under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel.
Interment will be at Neodesha Cemetery.
Friends may call to register on Tuesday, February 22nd from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Loran Fawcett Chapel.
Dorothy Velma Adams was born on November 15, 1917 to Ben & Gladys (Elrod) Culp in Sycamore Valley, Kansas. Dorothy attended schools in Neodesha.
She worked as a C.N.A. at Wilson County Medical Center and was the bookkeeper for the family business, Adams Truckstop in Neodesha.
The most memorable job that Dorothy held was that of being a full-time mother and grandmother. She spent time volunteering as a Den Mother, was a member of Neodesha's P.T.A. and was a Charter Member of Beta Signa Phi.
Dorothy married Thomas V. Adams on February 08, 1934 in Neodesha, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 04, 1993.
Survivors include; one son, one daughter, one brother, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one step great-grandson.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, a brother, Hilman Culp, a sister, Thelma Streets, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
The family has suggested memorials to the W.A. Rankin Library of Neodesha and can be left at the funeral home.
