Mrs. Melissa Trivett Brown, 78 years old died at the home in Meat Camp township last Wednesday after a long illness and funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon from the Meat Camp Baptist Church by Reverends R. C. Eggers and Reverend N. M. Greene, interment in the Brown cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Elijah and Irene Carlton Trivett and was born September 26, 1868. She was married to Richard Alfred Brown, September 17, 1885. Mr. Brown survives together with one son, one daughter, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown had been a member of the Baptist Church throughout her adult life and was a faithful adherent to the church until death.
