Mrs. Norman McDermott
Mrs. Mary Doohan McDermott, 64, of 30 Cricket Drive, the widow of Norman McDermott, died early Friday morning at the Meriden-Wallingford Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in County Clare, Ireland, she came to this country in 1928 and had been a resident of Meriden since then. Mrs. McDermott was a parishioner of St. Rose Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. James Melvin of New York City, and Mrs. Ann Mean and Mrs. John Carrig, both of Ireland, a brother Patrick J. Doohan of Meriden, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main Street and at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Doohan McDermott of 30 Cricker Drive, the widow of Norman McDermott, was held today from John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 8 East Main Street and at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church. The Rev. Michael Doohan of Ireland, cousin of the deceased and the Rev, Paul F. Kenfick were celebrants of the mass. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery with Father Doohan and Father Kenefick officiating.
Pall beareres were Gregory Fogg, Kenneth Fogg, Thomas R. McDermott, William C. Kilroy, Raymond Custy, and James Melvin.
