The daughter of Daniel J Hudgins, Mary married Robert Caldwell Womack on 17 Nov 1886 in Dardanelle, Yell Co AR. They had ten children, seven sons and three daughters.
Not only did Mary raise her own children with Robert, but she was mother to three daughters from Robert's first marriage, to Marsavan Lyon. The girls were ages 10, 8 and 7 when their mother had passed away.

It was always believed the mother of Martha Ella "Mollie" Womack was Mary Hudgins. Robert's first wife Marsavan died when Mollie was 4 yrs old. Mollie's Aunt Martha, Robert's second wife and a sister of Marsavan, also died young. There were no children by this second marriage.
