This is a duplicate entry for Peter Lunsford Storm Jr. Another entry has been made that does NOT show the JR. but does have a picture of the stone. So until we can get the data combined I am leaving this entry here.

This person was married to Margaret Wolf, daughter of Lorenzo Dow Wolf and Martha Wooten. She was born in Arkansas and her parents are buried in the Old Wolf Cemetery near Norfork, AR. She is the granddaughter of Major Jacob Wolf of Arkansas fame and he is also buried in the old cemetery. She has a brother Charles and a brother Charles Azariah T. also buried there. This family was very fractured by the Civil War as her brother Michael H. Wolf was so scarred that when he returned home, his family did not even recognize him.

It is not exactly known how she met her husband. But after she married she lived her life in MO. It is known that she gave birth to twins and that one twin died and then she died and then the other twin died. It was thought the twins were boys but in the cemetery where Margaret and her husband are buried there are stones for a daughter, Margaret C. Wolf # 68758837, and a son, Peter P. Storm # 68785252, which might be the twins and their death dates are about 3 months apart.

There were at least a son Isaac and a daughter Mary Jane Storm who grew to adulthood and have descendants.

1st== his date of death CAN'T be Jan 1900 as he is listed on the 1900 Census (June 6th) as still being very much alive. I spent some time looking through papers on newspapers.com, but the Jasper paper didn't start until 1901 and I couldn't find entries in the Springfield paper...so his DOD will take MORE searching.

While the info about his 1st wife is interesting, it's far from the whole story, so here goes!

Peter was one of 10 children born to Jane Burch and Peter Lunsford Storm Sr. He was born in Greene Co, Indiana, but by 17 years his family had moved to Jasper, Missouri.

In 1866, Peter enlisted in the Confederate Army, serving Company F, 5th Cavalry Missouri.

Also in 1866 (whether before his enlistment or not we don't know) Peter married Margaret C Wolf, daughter of Martha Wooten and Lorenzo Dow Wolf. To them were born...

Isaac A Storm (m:Martha Ellen Holman) 1866 –
Mary Jane (Molly)Storm (m:George Harry) 1867 – 1923
Robert E. Storm (m:Addie Miller) 1870 – 1918
George Porter Storm (m:Laura Workman)1872 – 1954
Susan J. Storm 1874 –aft 1880
William Storm 1874 –aft 1880
Margaret S Storm 1880 – 1880
Peter P Storm 1880 – 1881

Margaret died 24 Oct 1880, so in 1883 Peter married Elisabeth Leonora "Lina" Williams, and to them were born...

Samuel Washington Storm(m:Viola May Minkler)1883 – 1959
Racy McDermott Storm(m:Mable Jenny Mallory)1887– 1955
Rosa Storm 1887 –aft 1900.

Peter owned 3 lots(=120 acres) at Township 29 N, Range 33 W,
of the 5th Meridian; downtown Galesburg, Mo.
