STOWE - Andrew Koloniar, 94, died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at The Manor in Morrisville.

He was born July 16, 1916 in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of Louis Antone Koloniar and Constantina Havales Koloniar.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Aletha Titus Lamonda on Dec. 30, 1972 in Stowe.

Andy was a photographer for B.F. Goodrich in Akron, OH for 35 years. After his retirement, Andy and Aletha moved to Stowe. He loved to garden. Andy and Aletha also enjoyed traveling. They had visited 22 countries and enjoyed many times in Europe in England, Scotland and Ireland and wintered in Athens, Greece for many years. They also kept a home in Florida for 20 years. Before moving to Stowe, Andy came to Stowe to ski quite often. He enjoyed going on fishing trips for several years to Monetville, Ontario with his brother, Tom, and great friends, John Kekela and Dominic Stillo. This group also enjoyed golfing together, playing in Akron and making regular trips to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to play.

He is survived by his wife, Aletha Koloniar; two daughters, Loretta Ingleheart of Akron, OH, and Linda Meiser of Jackson, Wyo.; two step-sons, Carl Lamonda of Stowe, and Val Lamonda of Craftsbury; and a step-daughter, Deborah Tyler of Stowe; a brother, Tony Koloniar of Akron, OH; six grandchildren; four great-children; seven step grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Linda Lamonda; and three sisters and two brothers.

A committal service in Riverbank Cemetery will be announced in the spring.

White-Fiess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
