The News and Tribune, Jefferson City, Missouri, Sunday, August 30, 1936, Page 10 Well Known Resident of Vienna Dies - Mrs. Nancy Rowden Passes After Extended Illness

VIENNA, Aug. 29--Mrs. Nancy Rowden, 49 years old, died last week at her home near Vienna after an illness of several weeks. Her husband, Milford Rowden, preceded her in death last March.

She is survived by five daughters, Lettie Mellenburg and Lennie Dake of Sudheimer, Jesse Crum of Argyle and Selma Hollis and Genevieve Rowden, who reside at home; five sons, Claude of near Vienna and Raymond, Earl, Carlos and Ralph of the home; three brothers, two of whom reside in Illinois and one who lived with Mrs. Rowden at the time of her death; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Branson of Sudheimer and Mrs. Elmer Rowden of near Vienna; and her mother, Mrs. Sloan of Illinois. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Mrs. L.N. McDaniel of Union and interment was in the Vienna cemetery. (From contributor, Carolyn Boroughf)
