George Granville Bonn age 89 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Bonn was born on November 13, 1925 in Carroll County, Virginia to Jesse Francis and Florence Lineberry Bonn.
He proudly served our country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife Lucille Bonn of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Herman Bartlett of Radford, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Joel and Carole Bonn of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouse Sarah Bartlett; Adam and Leigh Bartlett; great-grandchildren Sophie Bartlett; Alexandra Bartlett; sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Delmer Fields of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Howard and Catherine Bonn of Woodlawn, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Gladeville United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Gladeville United Methodist Church.
