Fred Hodges, 85, died Nov. 13 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Bulloch County. He retired from Mattapan State Hospital in Boston.
SURVIVORS: five daughters, June Hodges Horton of Savannah, Jeraline Hodges Hill of Boston, Edna Mae Fields of Atlanta and Amy Smith and Mamie Holloway, both of Statesboro; four sons, James W. Hodges of Jacksonville, Fla., Ben Grady Hodges of Atlanta and Archie Lee Hodges and Gene A. Hodges, both of Savannah; a sister, Vonzie Dansby of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Julius Hodges of Boston and Leahman Hodges of Columbus; and a host of other relatives.
FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary, Statesboro.
