Madelyn Martin, age 16, died Wednesday from injuries she received in an automobile accident. The Bulloch County resident was a student and a member of the 2006 graduating class of Southeast Bulloch High School. She was a member of the Nevils United Methodist Church. Her special interest and hobby encompassed all forms of art. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Madelyn Newman Caravaggio and Melva NeSmith.
Surviving are her parents, Tessa N. and Chuck Martin of Brooklet; one sister, Sarah Martin of Brooklet; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John Martin and Charlie and Christina Martin of Brooklet; her maternal grandfather, Eudene Nesmith of Denmark; her paternal grandparents, Deweese and Rose Marie Martin of nevils; and her maternal great-grandmother, Sequel B. NeSmith. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The funeral service for Madelyn will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Frank Harvey officiating. Burial will be in the Nevils United Methodist Church Cemetery.
