Benjamin Birdwell was a Revolutionary soldier. Vol II of DAR Patriot Index lists Benjamin Birdwell as a private from North Carolina in the Revolution. Filed for Pension 9-15-1832, Sullivan Co. Tn (W218). This says he enlisted in 1781 in Sullivan County NC (now Tennessee). He was a private in Capt. Cabit's Co. Col. Isaac Shelby, and had served in the NC line. On 2-26-1845 widow Mary (Perry), applied for a widow's pension.
