Obituary in The State, Columbia, SC, 11 Jun 1922: Sumter - Mrs. Sara A. Caldwell, 84 years old, died Saturday afternoon at her home in Wedgefield. Some time ago Mrs. Caldwell had a fall from which she never recovered. She had been ill for a long period. She was loved by every one and will be greatly missed by her relatives and many friends. Her remains were laid to rest Sunday afternoon in the Wedgefield cemetery. She is survived by two sisters, six daughters and two sons.
