John W. Rosenbaum Sr., 81, Martinsville, died February 5, 2008. He was a son of the late Charles and Ruth (Eades) Rosenbaum.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post #230, the Indiana University Alumni Association and Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church in Shelbyville.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rosenbaum; five children, Deborah Allen, Pamela Pond, Deana Rosenbaum-Collins, Stephen Rosenbaum and John Rosenbaum Jr.; a sister, Mildred Callahan; two half-sisters, Lottie McCalliser and Linda Christian; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren on the way.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joel Wayne Rosenbaum, a sister, Sarah Brittle; a brother, Elmer Rosenbaum; and half-sister, Jean Bartholomew.
The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, in Indianapolis. Visiting hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral center. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
