Services for Charles Maynard Sheppard, 78, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Jim Guess, the Rev. Jackie Cox and the Rev. John Stout officiating.

Burial will follow in Pendleton Cemetery.

Mr. Sheppard died Tuesday, Feb. 8, in a Temple hospital.

He was born on July 26, 1932, to Virgil Carroll and Jennie A. Davis Sheppard in Rogers. He grew up in Rogers and attended Temple schools. On July 24, 1954, he married Brooksie Nell Cox in Temple. He was a minister in the Temple area and pastored churches in Bellmead and Killeen. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Troy.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, James Sheppard of San Antonio; and two sisters, Gladys Forrest of Hurst and Ellen Faye Skidmore of Ohio.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
