Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Belva LaRue Bertola Marsing Dause, age 85, passed away on February 10, 2011 in Price.

She was born November 1, 1925 in Price, Utah to Max and Anne Watt Bertola.

Married Boyd Lavor Marsing on June 9, 1945 in California; they later divorced. On August 6, 1976, she married William Cecil Dause in Salt Lake City, Utah; he preceded her in death on May 26, 2005.

Belva was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who loved to attend the Temple.

She was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was an accomplished seamstress and artist with endless talents. Just one glance at her handiwork, needlework and paintings and you could definitely see the beauty she held within. Her paintings were breath taking works of beauty that will be passed down for generations to enjoy. Belva also loved to cook, read, play cards, and care for her dogs.

When she wasn't working in the comforts of her home, she enjoyed traveling the world with Bill. She will be dearly missed by her family, but she leaves behind a legacy that will last a lifetime.

She is survived by her children, Kirt (Connie) Marsing, Price, Lynn (Jackie) Marsing, Salt Lake City, Greg (Lynette) Marsing, Price, Tama (Rand) Gordon, Price, Kent (Carol) Marsing, Price, DeeAnn Dause, Salt Lake City, Bill (Kathy) Dause, Acampo, CA, and Flora Jean Dause, Tuscania, Italy; brother, Keith (Jean) Bertola, Salt Lake City; twenty-seven grandchildren; fifty-seven great-grandchildren; and her faithful companion Foxy who will be dearly missed by all the residents at Bee Hive Homes. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill; and granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Gordon.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. The family will receive friends at Mitchell's Monday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the services.
