Adolph was married to Annie Flemming on 18 May 1893. They moved from Hecker to Rentchler 11 years ago and 8 years ago they moved to Mascoutah. He was engaged in farming and later went into the saloon business.

He was suvived by his wife, Annie; one son, Werner, and one daughter, Melinda. He was also survived by his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. David Stahlheber of Rentchler; one brother, John Stahlheber, at Hecker; six half-brothers, August, Henry and Ben Stahlheber; Edward, Henry and William Meng; and five half-sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jaeckel, Frieda, Lizzie Randal and Nora and Mary Stahlheber.
