Obituary:
Archie G. Staley, 79, a retired Penn-Central Railroad employee, died at 2:45 a.m., Friday, September 15, 1972 in his home after a one-year illness.
Born October 9, 1892, in Allen County, OH, son of John and Catherine Baugham Staley. He married Alice Kuhn on August 23, 1920 and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Neil(Mary) Humphreys of Morgantown, WV; Mrs. Ralph (Florence) Wright of Ada, OH; and Mrs. Norman (Dorothy) O'Brien of Fort Wayne, IN; a son, John of Kenton, OH; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Ethel) Young and Mrs. Sanford (Marie) Wingate; both of Ada, OH; two brothers, Ray of Lafayette, OH and Harold of Lima, OH.
He was a WWI veteran and member of the Penn-Central Veterans Association, Liberty Grange and American Legion and was a member of the Dunkirk WWI Veterans and Sugar Grove Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Hanson Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Rhodes officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Grange services at 9 p.m. and graveside services conducted by the American Legion.
