Anna was the second of nine children born to George Gutman and Annie Michel. For most of her life she worked in candy factories and was employed at Humphreys Candy Company at the time of her death. She died at her home, 260 S. 39th Street, at the age of 51 of pulmonary edema and carcinoma of the ovaries.
