Leff DeLoach, 71, died early Thursday morning, December 10, in the Bulloch County Hospital after a long illness. He was president of the W. B. DeLoach Company and was active as farm manager for the company. He was associated with Sea Island Bank from 1933 to 1943 and prior to that was associated with the old Bank of Statesboro. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Statesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nissie Jones DeLoach of Statesboro; one son, J. G. DeLoach of Columbus/ two grandchildren, Johnny and Deborah DeLoach, both of Columbus; four sisters, Mrs. J. L. Nevil of Metter, Mrs. Marion Robbins Sr., Statesboro, Mrs. J. L. Adams of metter and Mrs. K. L. Brewton of Estill, S.C.; one brother, Bourbon DeLoach of Claxton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, December 11, from the First Baptist Church of Statesboro, conducted by Rev. J. Robert Smith. Burial was in the East Side Cemetery. Pallbearers were his nephews, Dr. John Bowen, Kenneth Brewton, Lem Nevil Jr., Joe Hines, Lester Jones, Grady Bland, Robert Bland and Guyton DeLoach. Barnes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
