Dan Cleveland Whaley, 59, died at his home on route 2, Bonham, Sunday. He was born September 1, 1885 in Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Birdie Lee; four sons, Charlie Whaley of the army at Ft. Sill, John B. Whaley and Jack Whaley of Bonham, and D.C. Whaley of the U.S. Navy; one daughter, Cora Lee Whaley of Bonham; one sister, Mrs. Albert Graninger of Vernon; two grandchildre, Martha Sue and Alvin Vernon Whaley.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from teh Edhube Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Thos. Reece. Interment was in Hampton cemtery directed by Wise. Pallbearers were John McMillan, Reid Purdy, Arlan Purdy, Jess Young, Ira Bearden and Jack Peoples.
