WILLIAM T. BOGAN
William T. Bogan died December 19, 1957, in Syracuse, after a long illness. He was born July 19, 1886, in Town of Marshall, son of Thomas and Ellen Connors Bogan. He attended Waterville High School. On September 28,1917 he joined the Army and served with the expeditionary forces in France from May 6, 1919. He took part in the battles of Toule Sector, Marbache Sector and the Meuse-Argonne offensive. Mr. Bogan was wounded in the Meuse-Argonne campaign. He married Flora C. Maine on July 19, 1922, in St. Bernard's Church here. Mr. Bogan had since lived in this village. He was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church. Surviving besides his wife are one brother, John E., of Utica: several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at 9 on Monday from the MacLean Funeral Home and 9:30 from St. Bernard's Church with the Rt. Rev. John L. Powers, pastor, officiating. Burial took place in St. Bernard's Cemetery. The bearers were: Frank Carey, Ambrose Beha, Alfred Isley, Clayton Bogan, Frank Morgan and Claude Jones.
