Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mendolia was born in Grandfield, Okla., Feb. 19, 1923, to the late Inez and Willie Coleman Hackley. She went to her Lord on Sunday, April 15, 2007, from Hospice of East Texas. She was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She was a retired bookkeeper for Smith Tank and Equipment Co. During her life she was a past member of Gamma Gamma Chapter of Sigma Phi, Our Ladies of Roses Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, past president of Tyler Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, as well as serving as its chaplain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Joseph Mendolia, and brother, John Hackley.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Susy Mendolia of Tyler, Joe and Vickie Mendolia of Mixon; daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Cletus Hogenmiller of Huntsville; sister, Willene Cole of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, W.C. Hackley of Irving; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Matt Hackley, Cletus Hogenmiller, Doug Hogenmiller, Adam Rethlake, Tom Deal and Randy Perry.
