Harold was the eldest son of Kotaro and Sou Watanuki. Brother to Haruko Watanuki Yoshioka (Memorial # 60212605), Jack Watanuki (Memorial # 64690825), and Kiyoshi Watanuki (Memorial # 65393).
He attended Tooele High School, where he played on the football team. He received a BS degree from the University of Utah, and continued his studies at the University of Hawaii and Washington University, St. Louis, MO for Masters of Social Work.

Harold Hiroshi Watanuki, born September 7, 1919 in Tooele, Utah. Peacefully passed away March 23, 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah at home. Eldest son of Kotaro and Sou Watanuki. While attending Tooele High, he played on their football team, beginning a lifetime of joy rooting for favorite NFL teams and the University of Utah. He received a BS degree from the University of Utah, and then furthered his studies at the University of Hawaii and Washington University, St. Louis, Mo, for Masters of social work.
His dedication for helping extended to family, friends, and those he worked for in the state of Hawaii court systems where he retired. He especially had a soft spot for his four-legged friends donating generously for their support.
Survived by sister; Haruko Yoshioka and niece; Barbara Yoshioka, SLC, Ut.

Graveside memorial services will be held Friday, March 31, 2006 at Noon at Salt Lake City Cemetery (200 East �N� street)
