Mrs. I. P. Mellett died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. J. Gallagher. She was 91 years of age, having been born Nov. 11, 1852. She was the daughter of the late Robert W. DuRant and was the last surviving member of that family. Her husband, the late Silas Mellett, Sr., died in 1910.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. George S. Wham of Mountville, Wayne Mellett of Florence, Mrs. E. L. Ducom, Mrs. P. J. Gallagher and Silas Mellett of Sumter; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gallagher.
